As our own countdown seems to be ticking away faster and faster each day another adventurer is only a day away from departure. Nick Hancock is attempting to break an endurance record by spending 60 days alone on a rock 267 miles from the nearest land. He is raising money for help the heroes.
Nick won part of the Kukri Adventure Scholarship and and having met, drunk and arm wrestled with him in London we wish him all the best. By one of those odd coincidences the man helping to put Nick safely on his distant rock is the same man who owns our boat Elinca and his departure port is Stornoway (where Elinca is berthed). It seems that the outer Hebrides is a hot spot for adventure!
