Next leg

At 10.45 am this morning, Elinca is still in Cascais. Our intentions are to sail around lunch time as soon as the boat prep is complete. We’re best course to windward for Las Palmas. Half the crew went for a run this morning and so we’re fully fit and rested. The skipper’s time in the run was particularly impressive.

The yellowbrick might not have been updating for the last few days as we brought it in to prevent it being stolen. It’s back out now and so position updates from that should resume in eight hours.

  1. Paula says:

Good to see you are underway on the start of leg 2. It was great to be able to meet everyone and thank you for your hospitality and some great coffee. See you next Weds then ….. OK maybe not …….. see you in a few months. And for a deep and meaningful quote of the day “There are ships sailing to many ports, but not a single one goes where life is not painful.” ― Fernando Pessoa, The Book of Disquiet. Nick will be able to tell you more about this famous Portuguese poet. Or at least about his favourite watering hole. I think I prefer another one – “I’d woken up early, and I took a long time getting ready to exist.”
